Waste Not

What an interesting art exhibition at MOMA by Chinese artist Song Dong. Somehow, I don't think my own household belonging would seem so interesting. So mundane and simple, yet so cool.

Sexist Republicans at Sotomayor Confirmation

Would this EVER be said to a male Supreme Court nominee?
"Unless you have a complete meltdown, you are going to get confirmed."
"...kind of touchy, feely stuff..."
"Do you have a temperament problem?"
"Do you believe we are at war?"
Hell NO!
Idiots!

The Uniform Project

Finally, A Women Who Wouldn't Stand by Her Man

I really enjoyed reading Lisa Belkin's NYT story about betrayed women. I could never understand how so many politicians wives could stand before the blood hungry media, next to their cheating husbands. They never look like they want to be there, being publicly humiliated. Why do they do it? I was so happy that a Governor's wife finally acted like, "fuck it, I'm not standing by this cheating son of a bitch in front of the world." Women - let him take the heat without you. Have some pride. Kick his butt and kick him out!

Ruth Bader Ginsburg Interview

Great interview with a brilliant woman. Must be difficult to work in that men's club.

Women's Rights Going Nowhere in Saudi Arabia

In an unfortuante ruling, a Saudi Judge says it's okay for husbands to slap wives who spend too much money. And we think equal rights are difficult to achieve in the U.S...

Day 1: They Are Still Learning!

President Obama and Justice Roberts reunited today for a do-over of the oath. Apparently, they wanted to be sure there was never a question about the original, screwed up oath on January 20th. Reporters are already whining that television cameras were not invited in to record the retaking of the oath of office. They are still learning guys! Maybe they didn't know they were supposed to invite you!
